In 1978, KC Envelope Company Inc. opened its doors when 4 men who had served their employer faithfully, found out that their current employer decided to pursue other pleasures. These 4 men put their heads together, and discovered they could buy some of their employers’ machines and operate their own little melting pot of a business. With 3 folding machines, 10 people, and a new 15,000 Sq. Ft. home in the caves they began servicing the quick turn, short run custom envelope market as well as converting for the trade. Forty-plus years later we have grown to house a 75,000 Sq. Ft. manufacturing facility with 48 employees, 5 cutting presses, 12 folding machines, 4 Halm Jet Presses and an assortment of finishing equipment.
